Dr. Mark Woodford, Assistant Professor at the Department of Urology, SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, NY, describes his experience publishing the meeting report, “Seventh BHD international symposium: recent scientific and clinical advancement,” with Oncotarget.
Hello, my name is Mark Woodford and I’m an assistant professor in the Department of Urology at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York.
Our group recently published a report following a meeting co-hosted by SUNY Upstate and the Birt-Hogg-Dube Foundation, summarizing the most recent scientific advancements in Birt-Hogg-Dube syndrome research, as well as progress towards patient interventions and outstanding questions in the field.
My co-authors on this work are internationally recognized leaders in the field who believe that Oncotarget is the perfect platform to disseminate cutting edge research to the scientific community.
This is my fourth publication in Oncotarget. And as a new investigator, Oncotarget’s reputation has been a great benefit to my career. I would like to specifically acknowledge editor in chief, Mikhail Blagosklonny, for his handling of our manuscript. His commitment to a rigorous and expedient review process should serve as an example to other journals. Thank you.
